The CRCT is designed to
measure student acquisition of the knowledge, concepts, and skills set
forth in the QCC [Quality Core Curriculum]. Only the content standards
outlined in the QCC will be assessed. The purposes of the testing program
are

strengths and weaknesses as related to instruction of individual student

to provide a diagnosis of program
strengths and weaknesses as related to instruction of the QCC

to provide a measure of the
quality of education in the state
