| Percentile or National Percentile Rank (NPR) | The relative standing of a student in comparison to other students in the same grade in the norm group who took the test at a comparable time in the school year | 1-99 |
| Raw Score | The number of questions answered correctly | Determined by the number of items on the test |
| Scaled Score | Representation of a raw score in approximately equal units on a continuous scale | Determined by the test developer |
| Stanine | Percentile ranks divided in 9 groups with 1-3 being low scoring, 4-6 average, and 7-9 above average | 1-9 |
